While in LockDown 2020 I decided to learn how to use and make products using premium leather. LockDown is a good time to learn new skills so I got to work in my spare time and weekends.
The Design template of the wallet I’ve been making is based on a Das Offene Meer TopSider Leather Wallet design that I love and bought many years ago.
These wallets I made as a gift to our ASHA&Co team with everyone choosing their own colour of thread. I’ve made some changes to the original TopSider model. The Leather is full grain premium hide, thicker at 1-1.5mm, and sewn with a blanket stitching using durable waxed thread.
Each wallet is embossed with a brass stamp bearing the Steenlore motif and the ASHA&Co signature range Robin Bird mascot.
